Here’s the second tip for ensuring your trees look their best this summer:
Trees need water, especially in times of drought. Although water restrictions have been put in place in many areas, watering is still an essential element of basic tree care. But instead of watering too frequently, rather soak the ground as deeply as possible.
If you water in the late afternoon or early evening, your trees will have the chance to soak up as much water as possible, before it evaporates. You could also invest in an inexpensive rain gauge to monitor the rainfall in your area. If the rainfall is sufficient, you can afford to cut back on watering for a while.
